make that thing number one that I’m seeing when I get to London.

11 days and counting…

I’m leaving for London in 11 days and it doesn’t seem real yet. I’m creating this “blog” in a desperate attempt to map out my travels from now until December 14th…. and beyond perhaps.

Today I got to thinking about why people come into my life and leave just as suddenly… and in my natural masochistic way, I blamed myself. Sometimes I seriously think I’m a novelty item. From far away, I seem interesting, different, and quirky perhaps: not your normal human being. But as some people get closer, they see that I’m not all that original or mysterious (not that I was mysterious to begin with) and I’m actually oddly exhausting and the novelty wears off. Like a gadget you buy at Sharper Image thinking you’ll use it all the time and it’ll change your life, but in fact, it was just shiny and new and now most of that gilded exterior has worn off and it’s yesterday’s news.

“perhaps you’re dwelling too much on why people leave” -the infamous brittany dohar.

Perhaps.

But I still have 11 days. Maybe the Brits have better uses for this gadget.
